Huw Williams

Huw joined Ponthafren’s Board of Trustees in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience in community engagement, wellbeing, and sustainability. Having previously worked for Ponthafren as a Rugby and Community Wellbeing Officer, Huw is deeply familiar with the charity’s values and the positive impact.

His MSc in Sustainability in Energy Provision and Demand Management underpins his commitment to linking environmental sustainability with community wellbeing. As a Trustee, Huw brings a unique combination of technical expertise, local insight, and a deep passion for people. He believes in the importance of community connection, lifelong learning, and practical support to improve mental health and resilience across Powys.

Outside of work, Huw volunteers for Welshpool Rugby Club as both a coach and committee member, as well as a player promoting Ponthafren as our sponsored player. He also enjoys cycling, photography, and walking his dog in the countryside.
