Cyndy Humphreys
Cyndy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a Trustee. She has spent over four decades working in the education sector spanning mainstream and specialist education. After qualifying from Birmingham University’s College of Education, Cyndy taught in schools across the Midlands and Mid Wales.
Her roles included English Lead, Lead of Lower School and more Deputy Head of the Tuition Medical Support Service in Shropshire. Cyndy then set up and ran her own specialist educational needs company advising educational professionals on how to create inclusive learning environments to support young people to overcome barriers to education and wellbeing.
Cyndy’s community volunteer roles include governor in several schools in Powys and Shropshire, volunteering for over a year at the COVID Vaccination Centre in Newtown and is currently serving as a Town Councillor in Montgomery.
Cyndy is passionate about promoting positive mental health, lifelong learning and opportunities for everyone to thrive within their community. She lives in Mid Wales where she brought up her four children with her husband. She loves to travel and spend time with her seven grandchildren. Cyndy is also a keen runner and enjoys walking in the countryside with her lively cocker spaniel.
