Peter Tudor

Born in North Wales, Peter come from a family involved with coal mining and mariners from the Port of Connah’s Quay. Peter’s early jobs included relief post-man, lorry driver and baking buns for the elephants at Chester Zoo. He worked for a number of years on the buses in Stockport, Lancaster and Newcastle.

Peter started teaching in the late 1960’s and spent the next forty odd years as a lecturer and teacher, the last twelve as Head teacher of Ysgol Cedewain in Newtown. Peter has degrees from Newcastle, Bangor and Lancaster Universities, a Post Graduate Diploma from Aberystwyth and a Masters Degree from the University of Liverpool.

Peter is a devoted supporter of Wrexham F.C., he enjoys all aspects of archaeology, travel with his wife, and the company of their family.

Experience as a manager/leader in education and many years of working with children and adults with learning difficulties gives Peter an empathetic insight into the needs of those with mental health issues and the impact that can have on families and friends. Peter has been aware of the excellent work of Ponthafren for many years and is very pleased to have joined the board of Trustees.
